JD - Job Description:
As a Data Operations Manager, you will be leading a large team of people who will be focused on building and maintaining one of the largest databases of medical professionals in the world. Your insight and managerial experience will be key to building a robust database.
Motivating a team to meet or exceed metric goals for both productivity and accuracy
Ensuring quality assurance of the database of medical professionals
Learning and mastering research tools designed for ZocDoc Data Operations
Identifying and communicating process improvements and leading the implementation of solutions
Documenting the entire process of researching and collecting information on medical professionals
Managing time and resources to consistently meet deadlines
Training and providing feedback to the team on how to improve its performance and the overall process
Building a strong working relationship with US ZocDoc Data Team
The Data Operations Manager may have more objectives, but achieving three primary objectives is critical to success.
1. Management – train, develop, and inspire a team to achieve all goals
2. Quality Assurance – manage team to meet deadlines and quality standard
3. Process Improvement – generate and communicate ideas to enhance process efficiency
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND CAPABILITIES REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE OBJECTIVES
To successfully achieve the primary objectives, Data Operations Manager must model and spread ZocDoc values, must meet some minimum education and experience requirements, and must be able to demonstrate some core capabilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution (MBA/Tech background is a plus)
3-4 years of experience in leading and managing large research/data teams
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Access
CORE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to communicate, does not shy away from giving constructive feedback or opposing
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to problem solve, think creatively
Ability to readily and quickly adapt to change
Ability to uphold high operating standards
Ability to work independently and proactively to accomplish work goals and objectives
Knowledge of medical terminology and practices
Skill being well-organized and obsessive about quality, being detail-oriented
Skill building rapport and creating positive connections with other team members (interpersonal skills)
