QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL:

(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the
concerned/allied / relevant discipline and published work of
high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of
published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books
and/or research / policy papers in indexed / ISBN/ ISSN numbered
Journals and/or books and the University developed ISBN/ISSN
numbered books and list of journals / books hosted in the
website of the concerned University.

(ii) A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in University
/ College, and/or experience in research at the Univeristy /
National Level institutions / industries, including experience
of guiding candidates for research at Doctoral level;

(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new
curricula and courses, and technology- mediated teaching
learning process.

(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance
Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System
(PBAS) developed by UGC in these regulations.

OR

An Outstanding professional with established reputation in the
relevant field who has made significant contribution to
knowledge.

Desirable :

The candidates are expected to have considerable experience in:




a) Designing of Agenda and drafting of the minutes of the
various University authorities and handling legal matters of
the Centre.

b) Exercising close and effective supervision, monitoring and
implementation of policy decisions.

Candidates are also expected to have knowledge of modern methods
of management and their application in an Institution of higher
education and research.

02. Professor of Computer Science, Dept of Computer Science (1)

QUALIFICATION - ESSENTIAL :

(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the
concerned /allied/ relevant discipline and published work of
high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of
published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or
research/policy papers;

(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in
University/ College, and/or experience in research at the
University/ National level institutions/ industries, including
experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level;

curricula and courses, and technology - mediated teaching

(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance

(PBAS), set out in the Regulation in Appendix-III.

B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in
the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to
the knowledge in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, to
be substantiated by credentials.

03. Associate Professor in Statistics, Women's College (1)
04. Associate Professor in Bio-Technology, Inter-Disciplinary Bio-
Technology Unit. (1)

Qualification Essential :-

(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned
/allied/ relevant disciplines;

(ii) A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent
grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed);

(iii) A minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research in an
academic /research position equivalent to that of Assistant
Professor in a University/ College or Accredited Research
Institution/ industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research
with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publicaitons
as books and/or research/policy papers;




(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new
curricula and courses, and technology -- mediated teaching
learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral
candidates and research students;

(v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance
Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS),
set out in this Regulation in Appendix-III.

05. Assistant Professor in Political Science, AMU Centre at
Murshidabad (1)

QUALIFICATION - ESSENTIAL :

(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university
with at least 55% marks (on an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree
level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an
equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university;

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate
must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted
by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like
SLET/SET;

(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and
(ii) above, candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D.
degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission
(Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree)
Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the
minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment
and appointment of Assistant Professor of equivalent positions
Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions;

(iv) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters
Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not
conducted.

09. Assistant Professor in Business Administration, AMU Centre at
Murshidabad (WEST BENGAL)

QUALIFICATIONS: -ESSENTIAL :

1. First class Master's degree in Business Management/
Administration / in a relevant management related discipline
or first class in two years full time PGDM declared
equivalent by AIU / accredited by the AICTE / UGC

OR

2. First class graduate and professionally qualified Charted
Accountant / Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of
the concerned statutory bodies.

DESIRABLE :
1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professioal experience
in a reputed organization.

2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in
refereed journals.

10. Assistant Professor in Buisness Administration (Islamic
Banking & Finance), Dept of Business Administration (1)

QUALIFICATION - ESSENTIAL :

MBA with specialization in Finance in First Division with at
least 60% marks or its equivalent grade.

OR

Master's degree (Two years full time) in Islamic Banking and
Finance in First Division with at least 60% marks or its
equivalent grade
OR

MBA with at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade and Ph.D.
in the area of Islamic Banking and Finance or equivalent
published work.

DESIRABLE : Preference will be given to persons having knowledge
of Islamic Banking and Finance.

11. Physical Directoress, Women's College. (1)

Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100 GP Rs.5400 plus allowances

QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL :

1. A Master's Degree in Physical Education or Master's degree in
sports Science with at least 55% marks (or as equivalent
grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
with a consistantly good academic record.

2. Record of having represented the University / College at the
Inter University / Inter Collegiate competitions or the State
and/or the State and / or National Championships.

3. Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the
purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

4. Passed the Physical fitness test conducted in accordance with
these Regulations.

5. However,Candidates who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree
in accordance with the "University Grants Commission

(Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree),
Regulation 2009 shall be be exempted from the requirement of
the Minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for
recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Director
of Physical Education / College Director/ of Physical
Education & Sports.

DESIRABLE: Must be proficient in coaching of basket Ball/Hokey.

2. In case of condition with long experience or standing

40. Professor of Kulliyat, Dept of Kulliyat (1)

QUALIFICATIONS-ESSENTIAL :


a. Degree in Unani Medicine from a University established by Law
or a statutory Board/ Faculty/ Examining Body of Indian
Medicine of equivalent and included in IInd Schedule of
Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.

b. Post-graduate qualification in the discipline from the
recognised Institution/University established by Law.

c. Teaching experience in a recognised Institution for ten years
and five years for the post of Professor and Reader
respetively in the repective discipline.

d. Teahers who are working in recognised Unani Medical Colleges,
and appointed prior to 1995 shall be eligible for appointment
/ promotion for post of Professor, Reader and Lecturer in the
respective discipline without post graduate qualification.

e. For appointment / promotion to the post of Professor and
Reader in the respective discipline the non post graduate
lecturer / Reader should have at least thirteen (13) years,
and eight years of teaching experience respectively. Provided
that this provision shall continue for five years from the
date of publication of this notification n official Gazette.

DESIRABLE :

(a) Post gradute teahing experience in the respective
discipline.
(b) Original published papers / books on the concernced
subject.
(c) Good knowledge of Arabic / Persian / English.

grade of 'B' in the UGC 7 seven point scale along with

i. Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP
of Rs. 6000 and above with experiene in educational
administration,
OR
ii. Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other
Institutions of Higher education.

OR

iii.Five years of administrative experience as Assistant
Registrar or in an equivalent post.

Note: The minimum requirement of 55% marks at the Master's level
shall not be insisted upon for recruitment on the post of
Deputy Registrar for the existing incumbents who are
already in the AMU system. The minimum requirement in

QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL :

Master's degree with atleast 55% of the marks or its
equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC seven point scale along with
a good academic record, as laid down by UGC.

DESIRABLE : Five years experience as Section Officer
(Admin) or equivalent position in an academic
institution of repute.

NOTE: The minimum educational qualification mentioned above
shall not apply in the case of promotion from S.O. in
which a relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% at the
Master's level may be given to internal candidates working
as Section Officers and in equivalent position and have
obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19th September,
1991 for being considered for promotion to the post of
Assistant Registrar / Assistant Finance Officer /
Assistant Controller and equivalent positions.

1. A Post graduate degree in Hindi / English from a recognised

graduate level.

2. Diploma / Certificate of translation from Hindi to English or
Vice-Versa from a recognised Instituition.
OR

Central government / or any Autonomus Institution.
3. Two years experience in the relevant field in Central
Government/ State Government or any Autonomous Institution.

Desirable : Knowledge of Sanskrit or any other Indian Languages.

QUALIFICATION - ESSENTIAL :

1. Ist Class Master's Degree in Social Science/

(35 W.P.M. and 30 W.P.M. correspond to 10500 KDPH / 9000 KDPH

be made on the basis of a competitive test consisting of
English typing and English Composition and Grammar followed by
an interview of those candidates who qualify the test.
