Job Profile:
The Manager of Application Support leads a team of highly skilled engineering resources in a fast paced, high tech environment.
This position will manage this team to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for the resolution of outages and service impairments in a
24x7x365 operation for the assigned shift. This position will support the X shift operating between the hours of Y and Z.
Mandatory Skills:
·         Must have 10-15 years of experience of managing technical Level 1 and 2 support.
·         Must be a certified ITIL practitioner.
·         Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Visual Basic, .NET and MS SQL as this position is a technical management
position
·         Excellent interpersonal, project management and oral/written communication skills
·         Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends
·         Collaborate with development teams, IT help desk, and project managers to define 2nd level application support processes to best
support business needs
·         Monitor the ticketing system for escalations from level 1 support
·         Lead team members in documenting problems/solutions in the IT database for efficient resolution of future problems or issues
·         Identify process, documentation, or workflow inefficiencies; research issues, proposing detailed reports and solutions to the management
team
·         Perform root cause analysis to differentiate critical from non-critical issues, deploying team resources most effectively to provide 2nd level
production application support to the business
·         Initiates and maintains contact with internal and external organizations and individuals to ensure appropriate cooperation, coordination, and
information exchange, with the goal of properly developing the staff and providing high-level support services.
·         Manages a team of  analysts of varying levels, monitoring and ensuring support is consistently delivered within service level agreements and
quality standards.
·         Drives to ensure targets are achieved and reviews work levels, looking for aging cases, quality and activity levels.
·         Partner closely with peers, building co-operation and co-ordination of teams and functions to ensure a customer focused view is taken at all times.
