  • 5-7 years of total experience in Java / JEE, Spring, Hibernate

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Solution Architect providing ATG architecture, design and integration expertise for the ecommerce solution
  • Work with key members of the management team to define and drive technical strategy and architectural direction across the ecommerce and Omni channel solutions portfolio
  • Assist in hiring, building and growing a high performance ecommerce application development team
  • Assess, recommend, build and integrate with best-of-breed, off-the-shelf commercial and open-source software components
  • Design architecturally sound solutions and/or recommend alternative approaches to meet business requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the ecommerce development team
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of new features and functionalities within the eCommerce portfolio
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software
  • Works under limited direction of management
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • 7+ years of total IT experience with focus on architecture, design, and development of Multi-channel eCommerce and J2EE applications
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with various ATG modules such as Commerce, BCC, CSC, CA, and Search
  • Integration Knowledge of ATG platform with various services: Tax integrations (Vertex, Sabirx, etc.), Recommendations integrations (ATG Recommendations, Rich Relevance, etc.), Payment integration (PayPal, BML, Cybersource etc.), Exposure to A/B multi-variant testing tools (SiteSpect, Optimost, and/or Adobe/Omniture)
  • Strong Java/J2EE development experience with hands on ATG and Endeca experience
  • Experience developing Endeca driven functionality for large consumer facing websites
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies such as JSP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX & Tag libraries
  • Knowledge of system architecture, system sizing and/or J2EE components tuning
  • Knowledge of Java thread and memory dumps
  • Knowledge of XML/XSL/XSD
  • Knowledge of Page Builder Extensions
  • ATG - BCC experience is strongly preferred
  • Understanding of continuous integration concepts, build processes and tools (ANT, Maven, automated builds, automated unit tests and continuous builds)
  • Solid understanding of source code control processes, code branching / merging strategies & source code control tools (Subversion, Perforce, etc.)
  • Experience leading an agile development team in a mixed methodology environment
  • Excellent business knowledge and interpersonal skills with In-depth knowledge of information systems concepts
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and vendor management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills within complex enterprise systems
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with retail ecommerce industry experience
  • Experience working in a shared services environment is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related discipline is required, and an advanced degree is a plus.
